The measure concerns activities taken up to stimulate the use of bicycles as regular means of transport and to raise the use of public transport for trips to recreation areas by installing innovative bike carry facilities on fifteen buses, the marketing of the service and the testing of the system for future implementation from suburbs areas into the city centre. Innovative are the bike carrying facilities on buses to improve the comfort of travelling by bus with the own bike.
There are some demonstration activities that come with the measure including planning of bike parking facilities at the PT stations and secure bicycle paths to the recreation areas.
The aim of the measure is to install innovative bike carrying facilities on twelve buses. It is expected to achieve a 20% increase of public transport use on these bus lines in the months from April to October. The main purpose of this measure is to stimulate the users of bicycles and raise the use of public transport for trips to recreation areas.
Bicycles carriers are available on the municipal buses.
The municipal buses apear with bicycles carries. Owing to possobilty of drive by bus beyond the town a rural bike tour is more available.

Actually an elaboration - updating of study bicycle tracks for Krakow is being prepared. Based on this elaboration will be compile a conception of municipal bicycle renting system.
