On the 12 June the measurements based on measurement of traffic intensity in four measure station (Krzeszowice, Rudawa, Zabierzów, Wylot na Kraków)on national road 79 were carried out.

During two parallel sesions conditions to effective development of carpooling and Tele-Bus system will be stated. Moreover possibilities to transfer those measures to other cities will be investigated.

25/04/08 Happening Zrównoważonej Mobilno¶ci at Krakow University of Technology
The Happaning took place on the courtyard at the Warszawska Str., on the 15 April from 11 to 15.
The event was planned in frame of measures 11.9 Integrated mobility plan for Technical University of Krakow and 9.2 "Car pooling system" to promote the proecological forms of transport (public transport, bicycles, car pooling system) by CARAVEL team in the cooperation with the Dormitory's Board. In the hapenning participated: The Rector of the University, students and eployees of this University.

The leaflets included the short description of Forum subject "Security in the Krakow public transport", identified problems and proposals of prevention methods.

01/04/08 Carpooling during Sustainable mobility happening
During happening, which will take place on 15th April 2008 at PK one will have opportunity to learn more about carpooling, participate in numerous contests and gain "JedĽmy razem" gadgets.
All interested people are invited to visit "Sustainable mobility happening" from 11:00.
25/03/08 Solutions for improvement in bike trip conditions.
23 new bike racks were installed in the area of PK in January 2008. The barriers on entry gates were cut in order to provide easy movement for bikers.
Inventory of bike rack on PK campuses, carried out before mobility plan implementation, showed the insufficient amount of bike racks in the area of University. The cyclists strapped their vehicles into everything: into fences, wirings, trees and traffic signs. Under CARAVEL team proposition, University Authority has bought and installed 23 new bike racks and amount of bike parking places has grown by 100. Within new bike policy, the barriers on entry gates were cut in order to provide easy movement for bikers.

On 15th April 2008 will take place Happening of Sustainable Mobility in campus at the Krakow University of Technology at Warszawska Str.
It will be a big promotion campaign of bicycle trips, public transport in the city and also benefits of common use of cars, or "carpooling system", that exist on the Krakow University of Technology go by a "JedĽmy razem" name.

06/03/08 IV Mobility Forum
On the 5 March took place IV Mobility Forum organized by Municipality of Krakow and Polish Associattion of Engineers & Technicians of Transpotration.
The subject of The Forum was "The Night communication in Krakow". Subject area had been caused by the activity of young well-wisheres of the night public transport in Krakow. They showed their own, alternative project of the night communication. The large number of participants of the Forum (among them were not only representatives of municipality but also many inhabitants of Krakow) was the evidence of the huge popularity of this question and of the Forum itself. During the spirited discussion many new ideas were presented i.e. reorganization of the present night transport service considering the change point. There where also many ideas concerning localization of this point. The center areas were mentioned most often, because in this place is the center of the Krakow nightlife - including entertaining and also tourist industry. However, the question: how the night transport is organized, depends on inhabitants as well. As the Deputy Major Wiesław Starowicz said, it is necessary to carry out a survey concerning passengers’ needs, because future solutions should be based on facts, not on the intuition . 22/02/08 The contract signature
On the 22 February 2008 the contract concerning cooperation and initiation of the pilotage integrate ticketing and tariffs has been signed. The project includes railway transport on line Krakow Głowny-Krzeszowice in connection with local public transport
Krakow Community was represented by the Deputy Mayor - Wiesław Starowicz and Jan Tajster - Manager of the ZDiT, Jan Zadęcki - Manager of the ZPR in Krakow and Kazimiera Biel-Zaj±c - Deputy Manager of the MZPR in Krakow.
What is "the integrate ticket"? This is the name-monthly ticket that allows to unlimited number of travel every day in a week:
1. in municipal ticketing zone using one, two or all lines of the local public transport in Krakow.
2. among all railway stations on line Krakow Główny - Krzeszowice (round trip) in the second class omnibus train run by PKP PR.

14/12/07 Civitas Saint Claus for children.
By virtue of roaring success "Gadgets for tickets" action amidst the youngest users of puclic transport, Civitas Saint Claus with the City Ifra-scructure Office prepared especial mini-competition for children till 12 years old.
One hundred children, that will send an e-mail to City Ifra-scructure Office will be prizewinning of Caravel Project T-shirt.
In order to take part into the competition it is necessary to have validated tickets of public transport in Krakow after 15th September and at least one family ticket, that should be provided while prize reception.
Action will be last until distribute of all T-shirts.
13/12/07 Signed agreement
On the 13th December 2007 was signed the agreement in order to initiate the pilotage project of the integrated ticketing and tariffs system including railway transport on line Kraków Główny - Krzeszowice in connection with local public transport in Krakow
The representant of the Krakow Gmine was Mayor of Cracow Jacek Majchrowski, PKP PR – Marek Nitkowski oraz Piotr Korsak. Actions „PKP Przewozy Regionalne” Sp. z o.o. come within the present agreement have taken the patronage of Marshal of the Voivodeship Malopolska.
This agreement is the first stage of the integration between railway and public transport. According to the popularity of this project among passangers, researches and analysises, Krakow Gmine plans to enlarge integrated ticketing and tariffs system in the range of 25 km from Krakow.
05/12/07 New resolution of the Krakow City Council
On the 5th December 2007 Krakow City Council have passed a bill regarding the establishing of the fares and payment for the transport service realized in the area of Krakow Urban Gmine and Towns and Gmines that acceded to intergmine agreements.
By virtue of the resolution the new type of fare was introduced as "The Mark to integrated PKP PR ticket - Urban Communication in Krakow" and in the attachments to the resolution new decisions on the above-mentioned mark were taken.
30/11/07 Gadgets for tickets - Finish of program.
The first loyalty project in Krakow for users of the public transport was finished due to distribution all available prizes.
During the three months of program, more than 1000 citizens participated and about 3000 items have been handed over. Thank you for everybody, who took part into the project.
27/11/07 Project and production of the banner for action Day without car.
The banner was placed in the tent, which was prepared especially for this action and conduced to its broader promotion.
08/11/07 Phone-bus on region Rybitwy and Powierzbie.
The program of demand-responsive transport service turned out to be brilliant idea for inhabitants of Rybitwy and Podwierzbie.
For four month about 3367 passangers have made use of this service and the popularity of the project grows everyday, depite regular courses of buses nr 157 and 158. The thousandth course of the phone-bus took place on 7th November.
05/11/07 New bicycle stands.
Still in this year in the city center and in the down-town should be installed about 100 bicycle stands.
Furthermore the City intends to run local chain of bicycle lendings, situated near the big communication junctions and attractive places taking into consideration recreation.
24/10/07 "Bicycle for student"
University of Science and Technology has worked out the idea of creation the bicycle path linking Student City with the didactic part.
The idea appeared in order to move quick and healthy in the campus - ipso facto the limitation of the car traffic. University intends to buy bicycles by its own resources and loan them on the basis of Students Electronic Identity Card or Employee Electronic Identity Card. The program "Bicycle for student" should begin in the spring of 2008.

The Brochure describes in interesting way the measures and activity in CiViTAS CARAVEL separately in Burgos, Genova, Krakow and Stuttgart.
It also presents the main aims of the project, what is very good promotion of programme. The Brouchure has been edited in English language.
19/09/07 III Mobility Forum
The general subject of the meeting was city logistics systems.
The 3rd Forum was organised during European Mobility Week 2007. The Municipality of Krakow has invited specialists from other Polish cities to discuss the problem of distribution of goods in the city centre. Participants of the meeting were also representatieves of stakeholders of Krakow, PKP, academys' employees, students and inhabitants of Krakow. 3rd Forum focused on elaboration of delivers system in Krakow, based on creation of logistic centers. The results of this meeting were taken into account in the process of implementation of M10.03 "New goods distribution scheme in Krakow".

The logo was created in aim of broad promotion the carpooling system in the Krakow University of Technology and concerned persons in Krakow.
23/04/07 "JedĽmy razem" boards in PK students2 hostels
Rumcajs, Leon i Bartek are students2 hostels where information boards of "JedĽmy razem" system were placed.
The main objective of "JedĽmy razem" boards is to show future users of system, that will start in October 2007, its principles of operation and to promote carpooling idea. Moreover tables can be used to exchange information between drivers and passengers about available free places in cars. It is performed by filling appropriate leaf and picking up on the board.

15/03/07 New Panel for affairs bicycle lines and bicycle renting has been called.
New Panel for affairs bicycle lines and security of non-protected has been called on 15 March 007 in accordance with the signed directive of Deputy Mayor.
The tasks of the Panel will work through introduction of the project municipal bike renting, deal with security of cyclist and pedestrians and disabled people. The chairman of the panel became Professor Wiesław Starowicz.

Within promotion of clean, ecological transport,MPK introduce CNG busses.
The new buses,type-Jelcz M121M/4, are comfortable,clean vehicles with higher efficiency levels than conventional vehicles, the relative reduction in CO2 emissions, to improve the image of the public transport services.

Among has started activities are: preparing for the design process of the system architecture: identyfication and determination of new ways for data collection, development of a methodology for accident data analysis and interpretation.
The well-defined staff from PK was going to start the design process of the system architecture concerning the research activities into the system. The main issues are also the development of the methodology of accident and incident data gathering, the methodology of the data processing and risk analysis as well. All activieties were been taken in terms of reaserch work on working dokuments: "Design study of the overall architecture of the Monitoring Centre for Road Safety and Accident prevention in Krakow".

I Mobility Forum took place on the 20 October 2006 in Conference Room of Municipal Council.
The Forum has been organised as one of measures of CiViTAS CARAVEL project. This Forum initiated series of such meetings, that would focus on topics concerned public transport. During this Forum UMK and company Formus Group decided to establish a Internet Forum to enable people sharing their ideas, complaints and thoughts about public transport, sustainable mobility and also the CARAVEL measures.
