Because of increase of traffic near University campus at Warszawska St and growth of problems related with parking in the area of this campus, Technical University of Krakow (PK) decided to implement an integrated mobility plan.
The purpose of an integrated mobility plan for the Technical University of Krakow is change of employees and students mobility behaviours towards sustainable transport modes and reduction in parking problems in the area of University campus. Mobility plan contains activities concerning promotion of PT, bike and walking trips as well as new form of travelling - carpooling system.
Within mobility plan there are realized following measures:
1.Creation of conception of better PT connection between PK campuses
2.Creation of conception of bike paths between PK campuses
3.Development of website with information about travelling across the city
4.Creation of position of mobility consultant at PK
5.Improving of accessibility to PK campus at Warszawska Street as a result of construction of two tram lines: fast and traditional tram lines.

Happening Zrównoważonej Mobilności at Krakow University of Technology
The Happaning took place on the courtyard at the Warszawska Str., on the 15 April from 11 to 15.
The event was planned in frame of measures 11.9 Integrated mobility plan for Technical University of Krakow and 9.2 "Car pooling system" to promote the proecological forms of transport (public transport, bicycles, car pooling system) by CARAVEL team in the cooperation with the Dormitory's Board. Solutions for improvement in bike trip conditions.
23 new bike racks were installed in the area of PK in January 2008. The barriers on entry gates were cut in order to provide easy movement for bikers.
Inventory of bike rack on PK campuses, carried out before mobility plan implementation, showed the insufficient amount of bike racks in the area of University. The cyclists strapped their vehicles into everything: into fences, wirings, trees and traffic signs. Under CARAVEL team proposition, University Authority has bought and installed 23 new bike racks and amount of bike parking places has grown by 100. Rowerowy Happening
The Caravel team from the Cracow University of Technology organized with cooperated the Dormitory's Board of PK on the 25 April The Bicycles Happening.
